REVV 1.1.2 · WINDOWS
Your PC. Ready to play.
Prepare for gaming or streaming with saved cleanup choices and one place to review your setup.
What you needWindows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with .NET Framework 4.8. No account, key, subscription, or developer tools are needed. Install your streaming app separately.
Start here
Open your game and tools, review the apps selected to close, then confirm Boost or Stream Mode. On means close; Off means keep open. Save your work first. Advanced service cleanup is off by default. Find the three-step quick start in Help & About.
Install Revv
- Download Revv-Setup-1.1.2.exe from the official Revv page.
- Double-click the installer, read the license agreement, and choose whether you want a desktop shortcut.
- Click Install, then open Revv from the Start menu. It installs for your Windows account.
This release is unsigned. Windows may identify its publisher as unknown. Use a trusted copy of the installer; a SHA-256 checksum is included with the release. You do not need to disable Windows Security to use Revv.
Set up Stream Mode once
- Open your broadcaster and the tools you use while live: your mixer, chat, alerts, camera tools, and other essentials.
- Open Stream Mode in Revv. Choose Auto-detect, OBS Studio / StreamElements, Streamlabs Desktop, Meld Studio, or Other.
- Review Your stream setup. Known broadcasters, recognized games, and device tools are protected automatically. Use Keep open for any extra tool or unfamiliar game that needs to stay running. Use Close only for apps you want shut down.
- Save your work, then click Start Stream Mode. Review the cleanup list and confirm. Revv leaves apps with unanswered save prompts open.
- Play a test sound and check your mic and game meters in your mixer and broadcaster. Start the broadcast from your broadcaster.
Revv saves these choices for your next stream. The cleanup list contains currently running app groups. StreamElements setups running inside OBS use the OBS option; standalone companion tools can be protected with Keep open.
While streaming
The CPU, memory, and GPU gauges show local resource use. GPU availability depends on Windows and the graphics driver. The network check shows a connected interface, not an upload-speed result. A saved OBS video profile is shown when it can be read.
Watch rendering/encoding losses and network drops in your broadcaster. Revv does not measure delivered stream FPS, guarantee zero drops, or change your bitrate, resolution, graphics quality, encoder, or game FPS cap.
Cleanup runs when you press Start or Clean up again. Revv does not continuously kill programs that reopen. End Stream Mode reopens the apps that this mode closed and leaves your broadcaster running. Failed reopens stay in its restore list so you can retry or reopen them manually.
Boost and Stream Mode
Boost uses its own selections from What's running. Its optional service controls can request Windows administrator permission. Stream Mode uses separate selections and does not pause services. If Boost already paused services, use Undo Boost before starting Stream Mode.
Undo reopens tracked apps, but cannot recover unsaved work or every window/tab. Some Store apps require a manual reopen. Neither mode promises a particular performance improvement.
Update or uninstall
To update, end cleanup modes and close Revv, then run the newer installer. Your saved choices are preserved. To uninstall, first use Undo Boost and End Stream Mode, then open Windows Settings → Apps → Revv → Uninstall. Preferences remain in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Revv so they can be recovered or used after reinstalling.
Updates
Revv checks quietly when opened, at most once a day. If you see An update is available, click it, then Download update. Open the downloaded installer, close Revv when asked, and click Install. Your saved settings stay. You can also use Help & About → Check for updates, or turn off automatic checks there. Updates never install themselves.
